Subrosa TT

This is a concept I rendered for a Subrosa TT bike.  It was displayed in the juried "Best of Design" show in the Furlong Gallery at UW-Stout.

Quick Response

I took a digital type design class this past winter-term at Stout which was taught by John Corrigan.  I've never been able to take a type design class (because of prerequisite restrictions) but have always been interested in typography.  The class was based around the free, online tool Fontstruct. To display the work of the class we will be producing a book as well as putting on a gallery show here at the university.  These are the pages that I will be contributing to the book.  With everyone's sections included the book will be around 150 pages.

More detailed type specimens to come.

Shop Stool

This is a stool that I made during a polymers class at Stout.  Since it was a manufacturing technologies course, it was graded solely on our ability to build accurately to work instructions.  It was great to get a little more experience with woodworking and I got a shop stool out of it, also.

Best on Campus

I've always loved elevators.  It's been awhile since I shot photos for fun so I thought I'd explore a campus building I don't usually spend much time in.

Midwest

This is another typeface I have been working on.  I don't have a name for it yet so tentatively I'm calling it "Midwest."

Almus

This is a new typeface that I have been working on called Almus, which is latin for nourishing, kind, or propitious.  I have yet to get through all of the punctuation but I thought it would be good to try it out to get an idea of what could be fine-tuned.  Plenty more to come.
